In 2000, Elan Travel started operating tours to China, our combination of unique itineraries, featuring a FULLY INCLUSIVE price and experienced Canadian escorts proved very popular. In fact, our tours sell out quickly and most of our bookings come from repeat clients, some traveling with us every year. Saying that, we are always looking to make new friends!

Due to the success of these tours our clients asked us to create new ones and over the years we have visited and explored Egypt, Jordan, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Turkey and Peru. Of course, we still operate tours to China and Tibet and are researching new destinations all the time. For thousands of years the rivers were the means of transportation in Myanmar and things have not changed. In fact the road referred to in the song “On the road to Mandalay” is the Irrawaddy River. The best way to travel this road is with Pandaw cruises, their ships are replicas of the Victorian steamers which plied the river. An optional five day extension to the amazing Khmer temple complexes at Angkor Wat in Cambodia is also available.
